Join us for a half-day, beginner-friendly birding excursion in Gerhagen (Belgium). We'll meet on the early morning, start together and stay on the accessible mobility path. We'll explore at a relaxed pace and look for birds across the forest, with a focus on inclusive, enjoyable experiences for wheelchair users and for people who have difficulty walking on unpaved roads due to their health..
What to expect?
- A gentle 3km route along the forest (Gerhagen);
- Accessibility: Entire route follows the wheelchair path, suitable for manual and powered wheelchairs and for people who have difficulty walking on unpaved roads due to their health;
- We will move at a pace comfortable for everyone and will make frequent pauses to observe birds and discuss sightings;
- No prior experience required;
- Small group size for personal attention and a more intimate experience;
- Learn basic birding tips: how to use your binoculars, recognize common species and read the landscape for great viewing spots.

2. What do i bring with me?
No worries! You will receive an email well in advance with a comprehensive list of tips and tricks, including recommendations on suitable clothing and other essentials to prepare for the trip.

Pets are not allowed. This is to prevent wild animals from being scared and to avoid disturbing other participants.
